About Me:

Hey. I’m Jonathan Allen, an aspiring webcomic artist, taking comfort in the fact that Jack Kirby started doing comics when he was 44. I’m not 44 anymore, and I’m definitely not Jack Kirby. But I’m here in Northern California doing webcomics that I hope you enjoy. I’m self-taught. I do my work on an old Cintiq and mac using Clip Studio Paint (Formerly Manga Studio) and Photoshop as well as Procreate on an iPad pro with an apple pencil.

The more I do this the more I realize I have so much still to learn.

Other Stuff I’ve done:

I post most of my art on DeviantArt. Been doing it for a while.

I published a webcomic called “Down-Time” from 2003 to 2005. It’s here on the site if you’re interested. Maybe I’ll get back to it some day.

Stuff I like to do:

I run a monthly Pathfinder game.

I play way too many video games.

I dabble in computer stuff.

People and Things that inspire me:

JollyJack (Phillip M. Jackson) over on collectedcurios.com is one of my favorite artists. I like his comic and story telling style and his loose line work. I’m not quite as into the anthro characters (animal people) or his growth fetish, but he presents it so well I collect most of his work anyway.

There are, of course, lots of others. I’ll get them up here eventually…
